1. A windshield is a good deal for the money (<$200) I got a small 'sport' shield but I might recommend something bigger.
2. Although I have not bought one, I hear the air cushion pads work well and are not as expensive as a new seat. ($50-$75) There is a posting a few months back with a link to the vendor.

a few postings concernned with both windshieds and seat accessories.
